Hosting and technical access

The website is prepared for hosting with Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend St., San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. Technical access data, such as IP addresses, browser information, requested pages and request times, may be processed to deliver and protect the website. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in secure, reliable website operation under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Information about the provider and international processing is available in Cloudflare’s privacy policy and data processing addendum.

Contact inquiries

If you contact us, we process the name, email address, project details and message you provide to respond to your inquiry. The contact form transmits these details through FormSubmit to the studio’s Google Workspace mailbox. You can instead email the studio directly. See FormSubmit’s privacy information and Google’s privacy information. Contract-related inquiries are processed under Article 6(1)(b) GDPR; other inquiries are processed under our legitimate interest in responding to communications, Article 6(1)(f).

Join the Orbit newsletter

We use Brevo to manage subscriptions and send email updates about new books, creative projects and sample pages. The form collects your email address, consent and chosen language list. Brevo processes these data on our behalf and records technical delivery and subscription events. Registration requires an email confirmation (double opt-in). The legal basis for sending newsletters is your consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. You can withdraw it at any time using the unsubscribe link or by contacting [email protected]. Withdrawal does not affect earlier processing. See Brevo’s privacy information for its services, recipients and international processing.

Cookies, fonts and external services

Before the newsletter form loads, a notice explains the external services involved. It loads only after you choose “Load sign-up form”. Loading the external form with your permission is based on Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. Canceling leaves it unloaded. Closing it stops the embedded form from running on this page. This choice is not saved in cookies or browser storage, so the notice appears again when you reopen the form. Closing the form does not delete data already sent to the providers or unsubscribe you from the newsletter. It is hosted by Brevo and protected by Cloudflare Turnstile. Loading it transmits technical information, such as IP address and browser information, to these providers. Turnstile helps prevent automated abuse; the legal basis for this protection is our legitimate interest under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. See Turnstile privacy information. This site does not install analytics or advertising pixels, request Google Fonts or store your newsletter address in browser storage. Email delivery and interaction events may be recorded by Brevo according to the email campaign settings.

Retention

Newsletter contact data are kept for the duration of your subscription. After withdrawal, your address is blocked from newsletter campaigns; the minimum data needed to respect that withdrawal and document consent may be retained for that purpose, or for applicable legal obligations and the establishment or defence of claims. Contact inquiries are kept only as long as needed to respond and meet applicable legal retention obligations. Technical logs follow the providers’ applicable retention settings. You can request information or deletion at [email protected].

Your rights

Subject to the applicable conditions, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction and data portability, and object to processing based on legitimate interests. You can withdraw consent at any time for the future without affecting processing already carried out. Contact [email protected] to exercise your rights. You may complain to a supervisory authority, including the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information.
